Please join us for a golf tournament benefiting the Central Texas Wing on Thursday, September 17, 2015. This fundraiser will help the Central Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) continue to fly our historic aircraft for present and future generations honoring the men and women of the Greatest Generation. Our Mitchell bomber of World War II fame, is the same type the Doolittle Raiders flew off the Carrier Hornet in April, 1942, to bomb Japan after their attack on Pearl Harbor. Our World War II hangar houses 14 historic aircraft and a museum. In addition, the Wing is in the process of restoring a BT-13 trainer, 1917 Republic truck, and a World War II Army jeep. The money raised from this tournament will provide needed funds to continue our restoration projects and maintain the level of maintenance required to keep these aircraft, a part of our Nation’s history, flying.
We will have a great day of golf at the beautiful Onion Creek Country Club in Austin, TX (www.onioncreekclub.com). The event will include a best ball round of golf, golf ball drop, multiple contests, golf pro mini clinic, war bird flyover, raffle drawings, player goody bag, breakfast, lunch and awards reception following the golf.
Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of 2 flights. So get your team together and register early as we are limiting the number of teams to 32 (128 players).
