4-4-43
The Central Texas Wing proudly hosts the Premier Showing of the World War II Documentary 4-4-43 at our CAF Hangar on April 9th, 2014. There is no charge for admission, however, donations would be appreciated. Our hangar doors and World War II museum will open to the public at 6 pm with the Premier showing at 7:30 pm. Seating will be limited to 300 and on a first come, first served basis. There will be plenty of standing room only to accommodate all attendees. World War II re-enactors from the Nimitz Museum will be located in front of the hangar along with a P-39 and P-40 aircraft. PBS has picked up this documentary to show in the near future on TV, but this is a Special viewing of this film prior to public release. The Central Texas Wing picked April 9th due to it's significance to this film as this was the date in World War II Pacific War history that Bataan fell to the Japanese and the Bataan Death March began. The film's writer and producer, John Lukacs, will be in attendance introducing the documentary and answering questions at the conclusion. The Central Texas Wing is one of only four locations throughout Texas where this documentary will be shown. The general public as well as, veteran's organizations, civic groups, students, and those interested in history are cordially invited.
